Hi Nathan,
Thank you for joining and welcome to the community!
Hi all, happy to have an open resource to talk about DV! (Thanks, @kgraziano, for the suggestion.) I’ve been a DV fan since learning it 12 years ago (again, thanks @kgraziano) but, until now, have been working in non-DV shops. Now I’m an independent contractor and looking to do more DW design and implementation work. Looking forward to learning more from this community.
Welcome to the community @jrgchip !

Hi all, I’ve just joined the forum. I’ve been a member of the DVA forum before it was closed down. Glad to see a UK local community too - it gives me some confidence it is just across the UK on projects and not just overseas! I’ve been working on and off with DV2.0 for approx 2.5 years. Looking forward to meeting new and old faces alike from the Data Vault fraternity.
Hi,
I’m in Australia. I’ve been around Data Vault since 2016 having it thrust upon me in the company I was working for. That was a great experience for all the things which I now feel were done wrong. Pretty sure they were using DV 1 as their model, and then when I looked into whether I would keep with Data Vault or change to another DW methodology I started to see things and development approaches in DV2 which kept me in the fold.
I’ve done several DV projects and starting now on a new one.
I was disappointed when the DVA shut the forum so it’s great to find this one to have a place to read other ideas and confirm thinking
Cheers
I’ll be in an out contributing and asking

Hello
After 15 years developing in oracle databases, i jumped into cloud 3 years ago (avoiding becoming legacy code maintainer dinossaur ) and was lucky to learned and implemented 3 data lakes using snowflake (which im in deeeeep love with
).
Early on my cloud snowflake phase when investigating possible new ways architecting cloud data warehouse i bumped into data vault which got my deep interest, and been following actively few people on this (Kent, Veronika, Cuba…) and im in middle reading 1st book on subject which has been consolidating a pre-work imagining implementation details prior reading the standards… thats my way… suffer alone like a =^_^= wondering on the quantum mechanics of life, data and that link entity called “emphatic awareness”.
Happy to have found this group where most real hands on people are present and active.
I already started sharing some suggestions to others despite im in early phase, as someone without fear asking easy or hard questions, as in the end its all about how emphatic are people in a group, and open minded to talk on anything means we all learn .
Spoiler despite many use of emoticons, im an half-century man

Hello.
Greetings from Chile.
I work for an IT consultancy, where I specialize in building Data Warehouses in different destination engines (Snowflake, Redshift, Synapse, etc) using Wherescape as an application for modeling and automatic construction of DV 2.0 in destination data engine chosen by the client.
I hope to learn from all of you, and share what little knowledge I have about it.
¡Bienvenido, @adiazv !

Hi all,
I’m a data modeler/engineer from the Netherlands. I replied to one of Patrick’s blog posts and after some back-and-forth, he pointed me to this forum. I’ve already seen a few discussions on topics that I have questions for too, so it looks like it’s a match! Coincidentally, on the project I just joined we’ve chosen a dbtvault implementation, so that makes this an even better fit!
Looking forward to a lot of healthy discussions!
Welcome mate, the more the merrier
Hello!
Thanks for joining the community!
Hi folks, I’m an ex Oracle DBA and data modeller who is now an enterprise info architect. I mostly work with government agencies and large corporates. I discovered DV in 2012 and have been invested in DV2 since the first bootcamp in 2014. My interest in DV based DW is for the consequential benefits DV provides to the rest of the data architecture. I practice DV now and then in order to bootstrap the transition.

Hello everyone,
I have been working in the data management profession for past 10 years. Have implemented few Kimball style dimensional data warehouses. Been learning about data vault for EDW and I am excited to find this user group. Stumbled upon this user group while searching for some answers related to data vault.
Nice to meet you all!
Hi!

Hi!
I’ve been working in data management for 20+ years, in a new role in higher ed, building our first data vault. Glad to have found this forum!
