I am a first timer on Delta Vault Architecture and trying to Data Model from scratch.
Here is my problem statement.
I have one Customer Master source which I am planning to convert in one Hub and One satellite. I am receiving the customer data from other sources too which will become the satellite for the Hub I have created for Customer Master source. But not all of these sources share the common keys with Customer Master data and it required Data Steward inputs to identify which source key is linked to which customer master key.
My first question is what I will call the table which I am manually maintaining to store the Data Steward input of Customer Master to Source key mapping. It does not go in typical definition of Bridge or Link and neither is its reference.
My second question is that If I am getting a new customer from Source which is not yet mapped to Customer Master key, how should I load it in hub table ? My dilemma is that if I store it based on hash key of source customer id and later I get the mapping of the source customer id to Customer master id from DS team and if that customer master key already exist in HUB table then how I will attach he existing customer master hub key to source specific customer master hub key.
