This Thursday, there’s a webinar called “HOW TO SUCCESSFULLY MANAGE DATA VAULT 2.0 WITH dbt”. After a few clicks, I just came across this blog post: Data Vault 2.0 with dbt – Part 2 | Experts in Consulting and Training (scalefree.com). No mentions of the term dbtvault. But if I look at GitHub - ScalefreeCOM/dbtvault-scalefree, it looks like they just forked.

How much communication is taking place between the teams? What will be the main differences? Why did they decide to fork?

The team at dbtvault are glad to see the wider community contributing to the tool, however this is an independent fork and there has not been any collaboration from our side.

We continue to develop our tool independently and have further production in the pipeline.
