Adding new relationships to an existing link

Hi,

I am working on a use-case where there is an existing link (between five business keys) modeled in the raw vault, and there is a plan to add a new business key to the raw source, which adds to the relationship. One possibility would be to create a second link between the primary key of the raw source and the new hub (the primary key being the most granular and sufficient to establish the relationship), to potentially avoid recalculating hashes, dealing with nulls for historical data etc. while adding joins to the new link where needed. Are there any standard approaches in Data Vault 2.0 to handle this situation? Let me know your thoughts.

yes… it’s a new audit trail

no, resolve to an appropriate business key instead ~ primary keys are not business keys
